As the weather cools off and pumpkin spice lattes make their return, the United States hunkers down for the most dreaded of times: campaign season. We’re only six weeks from election day, and there’s a lot of information to sift through. This meeting will focus on providing facts on all major presidential candidates’ stances on LGBTQIA+ and STEM issues, and we will also be discussing the stances of down-ballot candidates, from the local level to the U.S. Senate. Additionally, a representative from Illinois PIRG Students will be present to help members register to vote or change their registration. In Illinois this is a nonpartisan process, so there’s no obligation to vote for a specific party upon registering. oSTEMers of all political or apolitical persuasions are welcome! Bring your questions and your friends!
